This week primary 2B made Chinese New Year hand prints which look really good. The children in P2B have made their own magnificent castles, and have also been writing about their topic of castles. On Thursday, the children will be learning about how to stay safe and how to identify dangerous objects.

This week, P2 were making sunset pictures with trees and owls - they have really enjoyed making them they look so nice!

P2 have also been hearing some New Testament stories like 'The Lost Sheep', and 'Loaves and Fish' . Now they are moving on to Chinese New Year activities .

Help!

The primary 2s have been learning about people who help us including:  Firemen, Police, Paramedics and many more.  Some drew a picture of a fireman in his outfit, and P2B created their own helpful characters!  There were lots of bright colours included.

Their next topic is castles, I'm sure they will enjoy this topic very much.

Dundee's Wave 102!

This week the radio station, Wave 102 visited our school to record Primary 2s singing 'The Donkey Song'.  Once Wave 102 recorded the song they took it to their studio and entered it into a competition against other schools including Barnhill, Forthill and many more.  If we win this competition we will win a disco for our school.  Let's hope we do as well as last year! 

It's Coming Up For Christmas!

The Primary 2s this week have practising really hard for their nativity play. They have been learning lots of the songs in the play. They have also been making sunset snowmen pictures with Miss Coventry.

Miss Coventry has been doing water experiments with the P2s, this week it was floating bugs.

The P2s were very excited when they found out that they were singing for WAVE 102 in a competition against other schools! If they win, they will get played on the radio and the school wins a disco.

This week the P2's have been making hands with Mrs Kemlo and Mrs Christie. They have first aid messages on each finger.

They have also been doing a science experiment to do with their topic, Water.

Primary Two's have been told by the Voki, that they have to send a letter to the Rainbow Fish asking for a shiny scale.

The Elves And The Shoemaker.

This week Primary 2s have been reading a story with Mrs Kemlo called "The Elves And The Shoemaker".  In the past two weeks they've received two letters from the elves with magic fairy dust and a note in them!  They made prizes for the elves for all their hard work, but unfortunately they are very messy so the Primary 2's had to make rules for them as well.    They've also been going round the school giving the people that help them Happy Helper Tokens. They are very colourful and bright.

Hi everyone. It's Katie and Sofia!

This week the P2s have been making Sukkat cards to do with Rosh Hashanah.

They have also been learning lots of things about Harvest. With Mrs Kemlo and Miss Leaver, they have been making a pictograph of their lunch. Some of the P2s have been learning numbers all the way up to 500!

ALL of the P2s are really excited about the October holidays and can't wait for a break from all their hard work!

New Classroom!

The primary twos have been thinking a lot about the new classroom and school.  Here is what they said.

Adam said.."I like it because it's got a lot of new different toys."

Jodie said.."It's a lot bigger and I like the decorations!"

Daniel said.."I like the gym hall because it's a lot bigger!"

Louise said.."I think that there is a lot more space!"

The P2s have a new helper called Miss Coventry. In R.M.E, they have been learning about the Festival of Sukkot.

Primary Two!

Hi, we are Katie and Sofia and we are the web-team representatives for Primary 2's!

This week both primary 2 classes have been learning about healthy eating with Mrs Kemlo and Miss Leaver. They have been doing white board activities and learning how to store food in the kitchen. Mrs Kemlo and Miss Leaver read a book to the Primary 2's called 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch'. All of them really enjoyed doing this.

They have also been doing a lot of Art as they have been making ladybirds, blow painting with straws and they've made teddy bears.

They have a new Topic for the term and that Topic is 'All About Water'.

In Maths, they've been doing lots of addition and subtraction from 20.
