Primary 6

P6A

On the 25th of January we celebrated 'Burns Day'. Every stage in the school has learned a famous poem by Robert Burns. P6A learnt 'To a Mouse.'

Primary 6 have been learning a foreign language and P6a have been learning German. They have created a wall in their classroom with some of the German words and activities they have been doing.

In art they have been creating their own silhouettes. Instead of making them of other people they have been making them of themselves.

The Primary 6 topic this term is the Victorians. They have been finding out lots of different facts about Queen Victoria and her lifestyle.

P6B

P6B have been learning "To a Mouse" as a Burns poem and are also trying to use Scots language when in the classroom.

They have also been writing acrostic poems about their Burns poem. When they were read aloud, they sounded amazing!

P6B have been learning about the Victorians as a topic .They have completed silhouettes of themselves with black paper, just like those from the Victorian times.

With Mrs Christie P6 have been making exercise videos. They have chosen a type of exercise and have created a warm up, main exercise and a cool down. The children have been finding the music they need on Glow.

Primary 6

We are Alex and Ryan and we are the new web team representatives for this year for P6. The children in P6 are very excited about the new school and had the following to say:

Charlie likes that the gym hall is much bigger and his new teacher Mrs Morton.

Finlay dislikes that the playground is much smaller and there are no football goals outside.

Cara likes the new school which she thinks is massive and likes the gym hall and his teacher.
