Primary 3

P3B

Katie Morag - P3B have been busy making their very own puppets to look like the people in Katie Morag. The P3s must have worked very hard as they look great and they are very colourful!

Their teacher has been reading the story of Katie Morag to the class.  They have been focusing on the island on which Katie Morag lived and they have been building houses out of recycled materials.   The children have been making maps of the island too.

Other than Katie Morag, the P3s have been given Golden Rules which are special rules they must follow in class.

Their teacher has put an art table in class along with a writing table for spare time during class.

P3s have also been reciting a poem for Burns day by J.K Annand called "The Elephant", the winners haven't been decided yet.

P3A

This week, P3A have been learning their Scottish poem, which is called 'The Elephant.'

They have also been working extremely hard to create their own kilts for Katie Morag. The children chose their own colours of wool and have been weaving them over and under and over and under! They look fantastic!

Lastly they have been taking part in a 'Fit Club' which is run by Abertay University.

Hi we are Morgan and Matthew your web team reporters for this year.

P3A have been enjoying learning about Katie Morag and the Isle of Call.

The children have been learning all about Post Offices, and even have a  post box in their classroom! The children wrote letters to members of their own family and posted them this morning. We hope they arrive on time!

Lastly they have been practising their typing skills on the computer in ICT.

P3B

Hi we are Laura and Megan and we are your web team reps for the year.

This week P3 have been learning about Katie Morag.  They have been taught about the Isle of Struay and they have made a Post Office in their classroom which Katie Morag  lived in.

They paired up and wrote letters to each other in the way that Katie Morag would have written.

This week a girl called Effie brought in real shark teeth fossils, which are millions of years old and very fragile and special. The class really enjoyed seeing and learning about these.

Christmas!

This week primary three have been doing all things Christmas related. The first thing they have been doing is practising very hard for the school nativity with the nursery children, primary ones and twos.

The have also been doing some crafts such as 3D style cards, making Santas and decorating their own Christmas cards.

As some of you may know this Friday 9th December is a dress down day to help raise money for three very ill children. The two primary three children that organised this are very grateful for this opportunity.

Primary three have really been enjoying the new school and they think it's amazing! We have a few statements here of what some of the pupils think.

Jude from Primary 3A thinks the new school is much better because it's a lot bigger and spacious. His favourite rooms are the gym hall and the dining hall.

Hannah who is also from Primary 3A said that all the rooms were great, especially her classroom which she thinks is incredible!

Luke said that he likes his new classroom because it's bright, colourful and spacious. He also really loves the playground and the gym hall!
