Welcome back everyone.

We all had a lovely holiday and are now ready for our last term of the year.  Our new topic this term is all about "Knowing Ourselves".

The pupils and staff have been shopping and have bought lots of new toys. There are loads of toys that are all different shapes and sizes and can be used for all sorts of different purposes.

The parents have been fundraising for a while to get new equipment for the classroom. They have been having jumble sales and have sold cakes and food. Everybody enjoys the new toys.

The rainbow room have also got some cool new musical instruments which make wonderful noises and also they made lovely mother's day cards and paper roses. I think the mothers think they're fabulous.

David said that he likes the coloured toys that have liquid in it and blends together to make different colours.  He also likes the ball which when you throw it into the air it turns inside out and the colour changes.

Lennon said that his favourite number game is dinosaur math track and another game he likes is tummy ache. Lennon also likes the toy which mixes two colours together.

That's it from the Rainbow room this week but there will be more next week. Bye bye

The rainbow room have had a good week so far listening to stories on the Internet on www.storyline.co.uk.

Instead of using a white board pen the children and adults have been using a cool wand for the smaller children. A lot of parents go fundraising for the rainbow room so they can get new equipment, fancy dress costumes and musical instrument.

Also the very nice parents are holding a jumble sale in March the date we do not know quite yet. Hopefully the parents can raise some money for the children and so they can get some nice new things.

Love is in the Air ....

The Rainbow Room have been making lovely Valentine's cards with fish kissing on the cover of the cards. They are all so great that they have a huge big display outside their classroom. Another display is the new painted flower pots outside the library.  We think these are fantastic too!

They have also being busy drawing juicy pineapples. One of the pupils said they really liked making everything and were sure everyone enjoyed it. They put a pineapple on a table and then they took their time to make it.

Hello and welcome to the Rainbow room's web page. When they all come to school in the morning, the children in the Rainbow Room are all provided with a delicious breakfast!  They even clean their own plates which they do every single day. They have pictures above the sink showing them how to wash the dishes. Another of their daily chores is sharpening pencils. All of the children have jobs like classroom monitor, special helpers, book monitors, cloakroom monitors and pencil monitors. They all like to play on the interactive white board and play all different types of games.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to Ms Scott's class. Hope you all have a good year ahead. Just before the Christmas holidays, the children from Ms Scott's were lucky enough to go all the way to Dobbies Garden Centre to see the one and only SANTA CLAUS!!! They all got a chance to sit on his lap and wish for what they all wanted for Christmas.

Since coming back from the holidays, they have started a new topic about winter and spring. .

We are all ready for Christmas .....

For Christmas the decorations are up going but the Rainbow Room have been decorating a Wonderful Christmas Tree (see above) and they have been making a Cool Christmas Calender They are also going on a "Christmas" Trip To Dobbies on the 13th of December.

Autumn is here ...

The children in Miss Scott's class have been learning about the season Autumn and festivals eg. Hallowe'en, Guy Fawkes and the weather - wind, rain and how it's getting colder.

P5 boys Ross and Matthew took part in the Harvest Festival at the church.  Ross danced and sang. Matthew spoke about harvest time.  They did really well!

As part of our topic on Autumn, we made our very own Scarecrow.

What do you think of our Self-Portraits?
