In the nursery, the children have been learning about numbers and counting. They have been learning to count up to 30!

The nursery have also set up their home corner to play in with lots of toys and things that we all have at home!

They have been learning about what foods to eat and how to eat healthily too!

The nursery have started to brush their teeth when they come in to nursery, and also how important it is to brush our teeth regularly!

Nursery

The Nursery children have been learning about the Arctic Animals, they have discovered how cold it is in the Arctic and they have lots of books in their reading corner. The children have been reading to their polar bear which is sitting on his ice cube.

Also, when the Nursery children have been coming into nursery they have been making their own snack. They can also write down what they would like to eat for the following week on a menu board which is on the nursery wall. They have also been having a hygiene routine, where they have to wash their hands thoroughly before and after eating.

Happy New Year!

There are some new children who have started in the nursery now and they have new games and puzzles from Santa.

The nursery children have been making very nice pictures that look like ice and they are about to start a new topic which is Arctic animals. The children are getting put into colour groups and they have been following instructions. The nursery children have been making the snack planning.  

The Nursery children have been making Christmas decorations forthe tree, a Christmas sleigh, stockings and salt dough decorations. They have also gone on a trip to the library and have a new my little world castle.

The Nursery children are learning numbers on the white board. They have new "My Little World" space stuff. They are waiting for the Christmas tree to arrive and the children will be decorating it. The children are doing free flow finger painting. They also have new resources for the home corner.

The Nursery children have been have learning about night and day. They have been learning and making pictures about the sun and moon. They have also been making autumn leaf pictures.

We're getting ready for Bonfire Night

The Nursery children have been getting ready for Bonfire Night and have been making firework pictures. They also have been playing in the big boys' and girls' playground and they also have got a new camping tent to play in.

The Nursery children are busy with Hallowe'en activities and they are having a fancy dress party on Monday.

The children have also got new building blocks to play with as well as new musical instruments.  

The Nursery children have had a busy week. They have been making paper fish to show that they are learning the 5 little fish song. They have been learning about the wind and making kites, the Nursery children even chose the subject.

When asked what he thinks about the Nursery in the new school, Robin says:

"I prefer the new school as there are more toys here. We are allowed on the white board now, we have more freedom, it's warmer and we have a toy kitchen. We have new traffic lights. I really like the school more than the old school".

Sounds like Robin's very happy with the new Nursery!

I am the Music Man!

The Nursery children are having a "settling in time" and have been learning songs around the theme "All about Me". The nursery children are now learning different games on the Internet. They have been learning about construction. Mrs Miller has made a new music area where at any time they can go and play with bongos and other musical instruments.
