Information, questions and answers
Will a new form be sent out weekly to decide on packed lunch or school lunch for the following week?
Yes, we will be sending a new form each week until everything settles again.
I have chosen to bring a packed lunch, but if some days I want to pick them up to have lunch at home ,is that ok?
Yes of course. That’s a lovely idea. Just ring the school on the day to let us know you are picking up at lunchtime so we can make arrangements for handover at 12 and 1pm.
In the updated info about school it said breakfast club is running? Is this from the 14th? If so what time does it begin? And are there plans to extend it to nursery as it says years 1-6 for now. Thank you!
At the moment the kitchen staff are making trays of toast and delivering this to classes. Breakfast club is due to start on September 28th, 8.20am, for years 1-6 but we are waiting for more information from the local authority to confirm this. We shall let you know closer to the time or when we receive further guidance.
If my child brings in their own device from home can they use the laptop bag?
We have gievn this a lot of thought. Yes the laptop needs to be protected in a laptop bag. Then place the laptop bag into a carrier bag. When in school, it will only be your own child handling and using the laptop so your child will manage the laptop bag themselves anyway. When the laptop is not in use and packed away, the carrier bag will form a cover that can be easily cleaned / wiped as and when necessary.
Are children allowed to bring their book bags to school?
No, not yet. They cannot be easily wiped and we are trying to minimise the amount of items brought into school from different homes. This is to reduce any risks still posed with Covid-19.
Here you can read the arrangements for September - further questions and answers are below.

Over the first two weeks of September we have arrangements for all pupils to come into school to meet their new teacher, see their classroom, find out about the new way of working, check everything out, and ask questions. We will do this carefully to ensure children and adults feel safe, especially those who have not been into school at all over the last three weeks. These visits will focus on wellbeing and methods of blended learning to ensure we are able to revert to home learning if there is a need for closure or a local lockdown.
Here are the bubble groups that will have two teaching areas.
Nursery / Reception - Mrs Thomas and Mrs Baker – Early Years Unit
Reception / Year 1 - Mrs Clifford and Mr Houten - Early Years Unit
Year 1 / 2 – Mrs Jones & Mrs Jenkins
Year 2/3 - Mrs DeClaire, Mrs Reynolds & Mrs Cole
Year 4/5 (WD)- Mrs Wall & Mrs E Davies
Year 4/5 (MG) - Mr Manley & Mrs Garlick
Year 6 – Mrs Fry - smaller number of pupils so they will remain as one bubble group.

All pupils to attend school. Same times and same entrance that has been practised. |
Staff members will be continuing with online learning and contacting families with action plans on the days when their groups are not attending. This is to ensure online learning problems can be sorted and families / children with anxieties are suitably prepared for the full return on the 14th.
